Global Platform “Governance of the Future”

Global Platform "Governance of the Future" launched by the OECD on 8 February in Dubai brings together high-level government representatives to discuss how we can address the challenges of the future. The Secretary General of the OECD, José A'ngel Gurria opened the Global Platform and the discussion featured a key note speech by Swedish Minister for Strategic Development and Nordic Cooperation.

15 – 17 December 2015 – The 15th Annual Conference on the Developmental Agenda Beyond 2015 In Arab Countries

The conference presented a realistic vision for the causes of failure in achieving the Millennium Development Goals in Arab countries. The conference took into account the features of the development goals beyond 2015, and emphasized the implementation mechanisms, including the political will and provision of human and material resources.

2015 MENA-OECD Initiative Steering Group Meeting

The Steering Group of the MENA-OECD Initiative on Governance and Investment for Development met in Rabat on 9 November 2015 to discuss the strategic orientations of the new mandate of the Initiative for the period 2016-2020. The meeting set the groundwork for the MENA-OECD Ministerial Conference in 2016, building on the impact of a decade of regional policy dialogue and advice, peer learning and implementation support in the areas of public governance and private sector development.
