23-24 September 2013 – Supporting State Building Efforts of Libya and Fostering Good Governance

The Seminar was jointly organised with the MENA-OECD Governance Programme, UNDP and the Ministry of Planning of Libya The high level international seminar was organised upon the request of the Government of Libya and it targeted senior officials from the Ministry of Planning and other key public institutions directly involved in the current efforts to reform Libya’s public sector.

15-23 June 2013 – Public Finance Management Workshop

The workshop organised by the MENA-OECD Governance Programme Centre in collaboration with the Italian School of Administration and the Ministry of Administrative Development of Egypt on public finance management and governance issues involved high level public officials from Egypt and Tunisia as well as Egyptian, Italian and international experts. Its main objective was to provide the participants with the appropriate strategic and practical tools in order to better address public finance management and governance issues in time of a deep democratic process faced by Egypt and Tunisia.

19-20 September 2012 – Launching of the MENA-OECD Network on Public Procurement

In the framework of the Deauville Partnership Governance Pillar Coordination Meeting on 24 April 2012 the G8 and Partner countries called for the establishment of a public procurement network to assess compliance in partner countries against the OECD principles on Enhancing Integrity in Public Procurement. The OECD Principles on Integrity in Public Procurement are a unique policy instrument to help countries prevent risks of waste, fraud and corruption throughout the entire procurement cycle, from needs assessment to contract management and payment.
