Open Government in Tunisia: La Marsa, Sayada and Sfax

This report analyses legal and institutional frameworks, public policies and open government practices in Tunisia at the local level. It is based on three pilot municipalities - La Marsa, Sayada and Sfax. The report proposes recommendations to help the central government create an enabling environment for open government at the local level. It also provides support for the efforts of these municipalities and those of civil society to establish new mechanisms for participation, transparency and accountability.

Promoting Investment in the Mediterranean

The MENA-OECD Initiative on Governance and Competitiveness for Development facilitates co-operation between the OECD and the MENA region to promote policies for sustainable and inclusive growth. It addresses regional needs and development priorities, including the integration of women and youth through jobs and greater participation in policy making. It also takes into account the region’s diversity by providing targeted support to individual countries.

MENA-OECD Governance Programme Implementation Strategy and Regional Activities in 2017-2018

The MENA-OECD Governance Programme is a strategic partnership between MENA and OECD countries to share knowledge and expertise, with a view of disseminating standards and principles of good governance that support the ongoing process of reform in the MENA region. The MENA-OECD Governance Programme closely co-operates with national institutions, regional and international organisations, universities, bilateral donor agencies, and representatives of the civil society.
